MIXING AND FEEDING DIRECTIONS

Large Breeds (125 lb of body weight): Thoroughly mix 0.5 lb of Pasteurized Milk Balancer powder in 2 quarts of warm (110-120° F.) pasteurized milk plus 1 quart of warm (110-120° F.) water and feed twice daily.

Consult with your calf specialist for more specific feeding and management recommendations.

Always offer free choice water.

When mixed and fed as above, this product provides 45 milligrams of lasalocid per 100 lb of body weight. This resulting mix should be fed during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates coccidiosis is likely to be a problem and to prevent the development of house flies, stable flies, face flies and horn flies in the manure of treated beef and dairy calves. Start feeding ClariFly early in the spring, 30 days before flies begin to appear, and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall until cold weather restricts fly activity. In some cases, supplemental fly control measures may be needed in and around barns and hutches to control adult house and stable flies which can breed in other decaying, organic matter or silage in the area, or that migrate in from other locations.

IMPORTANT: Thoroughly mix milk replacer powder in warm pasteurized milk, and feed immediately. When preparing large batches (i.e., anything other than individual calf servings) keep the mixture agitated while dispensing into individual feeding containers to prevent any settling which could result in the feeding of improper levels of lasalocid.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Feed newborn calves 4 quarts of high quality warm colostrum via nipple bottle or esophageal feeder within 1 hour of birth and repeat 12 hours later via nipple bottle as much as they will consume.

2. Consult with your veterinarian on a dry cow and calf vaccination program including but not limited to E. Coli, rota and corona virus, clostridium and salmonella.

3. Begin feeding milk replacer/milk mixture on day 2 and provide fresh, clean low sodium (<50ppm) water continuously on a free-choice basis.

4. Begin feeding a high quality, palatable calf starter recommended for full potential feeding at two days of age and offer continuously on a free-choice basis.

5. At the start of weaning, transition calves from twice per day feeding to once per day feeding. This will encourage the calf to eat more calf starter and assures an effective weaning.

6. Wean only if calf is eating at least 3 lbs calf starter for 3 consecutive days.

7. Continue to feed appropriate full potential calf starter up to 12 weeks of age.

8. Begin feeding a calf grower recommended for full potential feeding at 12 weeks of age at the recommended rate.

CAUTION: Follow label directions. The addition to feed of higher levels of this premix containing selenium is not permitted.

The safety of lasalocid in unapproved species has not been established. This product is to be fed to calves only. Do not allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing lasalocid as ingestion may be fatal.

WARNING: A withdrawal period has not been established for lasalocid in pre-ruminating calves.

DO NOT USE IN CALVES TO BE PROCESSED FOR VEAL.
