Cow’s Match WarmFront calf milk replacer should be fed along with a specific calf starter designed for full potential feeding. Calf to calf variations such as calf weight and health must be considered in implementing this program. Consult with your calf specialist for specific feeding and management recommendations to match with your calf performance goals and expectations.

Do not add other sources of lasalocid to this milk replacer solution!

Wean only if calf is eating at least 3 lbs of calf starter for 3 consecutive days.

*For 3x feeding use 2/3 the amount of powder and solution indicated.

**When under heat or other types of stress, delay this increase until week 3.

Important: Thoroughly mix milk replacer powder in warm water and feed immediately. When preparing large batches (i.e. anything other than individual calf servings) keep the mixture agitated while dispensing into individual feeding containers to prevent any settling which could result in the feeding of improper levels of lasalocid. Mixed and fed according to directions, 45 milligrams of lasalocid will be provided per 100 lb of body weight. Feed during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates coccidiosis is likely to be a problem and to prevent the development of house flies, stable flies, face flies and horn flies in the manure of treated beef and dairy calves. Start feeding ClariFly early in the spring, 30 days before flies begin to appear, and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall until cold weather restricts fly activity. In some cases, supplemental fly control measures may be needed in and around barns and hutches to control adult house and stable flies which can breed in other decaying, organic matter or silage in the area, or that migrate in from other locations.

1. Feed newborn calves 4 quarts of high quality warm colostrum via nipple bottle or esophageal feeder within 1 hour of birth and repeat 12 hours later via nipple bottle as much as they will consume.

2. Consult with your veterinarian on a dry cow and calf vaccination program including but not limited to E. Coli, rota and corona virus, clostridium and salmonella.

3. Begin feeding milk replacer on day 2 and provide fresh, low sodium (<50ppm) clean water continuously on a free-choice basis.

4. Begin feeding a high quality, palatable calf starter recommended for full potential feeding at two days of age and offer continuously on a free-choice basis.

5. At the start of weaning, transition calves from twice per day feeding to once per day feeding. This will encourage the calf to eat more calf starter and assures an effective weaning.

6. Wean only if calf is eating at least 3 lbs of calf starter for 3 consecutive days.

7. Continue to feed appropriate full potential calf starter up to 12 weeks of age.

8. Begin feeding a calf grower recommended for full potential feeding at 12 weeks of age at the recommended rate.

CAUTION: The safety of lasalocid in unapproved species has not been established. This product is to be fed to calves only. Do not allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing lasalocid as ingestion may be fatal.

WARNING: A withdrawal period has not been established for lasalocid in pre-ruminating calves. DO NOT USE IN CALVES TO BE PROCESSED FOR VEAL.

Store in cool, dry location. Do not double stack pallets of milk replacer.

This product was made in a manufacturing facility that does not handle or store products containing animal proteins prohibited in ruminant feeds.
