Fostera PCVThis treatment applies to the following species:
Porcine Circovirus Vaccine Type 1-Type 2 Chimera
For vaccination of healthy pigs 3 weeks of age or older as an aid in preventing viremia and as an aid in the control of lymphoid depletion caused by Porcine Circovirus Type 2. Efficacy was demonstrated by challenging pigs 3 weeks following vaccination.
Directions For Use
Shake well. Aseptically administer a single 2-mL dose intramuscularly to pigs 3 weeks of age or older.
Fostera PCV may also be given as two 1-mL doses administered 3 weeks apart. A four-month duration of immunity has been demonstrated when administered as a single 2-mL dose.
PrecautionsStore in the dark at 2°-7°C (35°-45°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Transient injection site swelling may occur following vaccination. Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives. Allergic reactions, although rare, may occur. The antidote is epinephrine.
