Forte V1This treatment applies to the following species:
Infectious Salmon Anaemia Virus Vaccine, Killed Virus, Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum-ordalii-salmonicida Bacterin
For Veterinary Use Only
Contains formalin inactivated cultures of Infectious Salmon Anaemia Virus, Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum serotypes I & II, Vibrio ordalii, and Vibrio salmonicida serotypes I & II in liquid emulsion with an oil based adjuvant. No other preservatives are used.
UsesAs an aid in the prevention of infectious salmon anaemia, furunculosis, vibriosis, and cold water vibriosis by injection of healthy salmonids.
Vaccination ProgramThis vaccine has been shown to be safe and effective when administered by intraperitoneal injection to salmonids 30 g or larger. It is recommended that vaccination should precede exposure of vaccinates to the disease agents by 800 degree-days (number of days multiplied by the mean water temperature [°C] during period). This product should be used as part of a comprehensive fish health program in consultation with a licensed veterinarian.
Forte V1 Dosage And AdministrationFish are anaesthetized to immobilize and administered a 0.15 mL injection intraperitoneally one fin length ahead of the pelvic fins along the midline. Allowing the vaccine to warm to room temperature (15-20°C) may facilitate injection. Withhold food from fish for 48 hours prior to vaccination.
Forte V1 Cautions
1. Mix well before using.
2. Store in original container at 2-8°C (35-46°F). DO NOT FREEZE.
3. Use entire contents when first opened.
4. Vaccinate healthy fish only.
5. Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter.
6. If accidental injection of the operator occurs, the operator should seek medical attention immediately.
7. Dispose of any unused product according to local waste disposal regulations and/or requirements.
