Guaranteed Analysis

Crude Protein (Min) 26%; Crude Fat (Min) 18%; Crude Fiber (Max) 0.15%; Ash (Max) 8%; Calcium (Min) 0.9%; Calcium (Max) 1.1%; Phosphorus (Min) 0.7%; Vitamin A (Min) 18,200 IU/lb; Vitamin D3 (Min) 1,820 IU/lb; Vitamin E (Min) 70 IU/lb

Mixing Directions

- A scale provides the best precision for weighing milk replacer powder.

- Free choice water should be offered at all times.

- High quality colostrum or colostrum replacer should be fed to all newborn calves, 3-4 quarts within 6 hours for optimal defence against environmental pathogens.

Large Batch (5 gallon):

Weigh 7.5 lbs in 3-4 gallons of 120°F water, mix to dissolve powder. Add remaining water to bring final solution to 5 gallons. Feed at calf body temperature (102-106°F).

Individual calf:

Week 1

12 oz (340 g)

Week 2-6

18 oz (510 g)

Week 7-8

18 oz (510 g)

Automatic feeding machines:

Grober Nutrition recommends calibrating automatic milk feeding machines to feed at a rate of 150-170g/L of powder.

- Clean and rinse ALL feeding utensils and equipment after each feeding: rinse in lukewarm water, wash with a detergent in hot (180°F) water, rinse with clean water (ideally a weak, 5-10%, bleach solution) and dry thoroughly with a clean towel.

- During extreme conditions (cold or wind), offer an extra feeding of milk replacer per day.

- A good quality starter ration is an essential component to a calf nutrition program necessary for rumen development and transition from a milk diet. Offer fresh amounts each day with free choice water; when calves are consuming 2-3lbs/day for several days this can be used as an indicator that they are ready to wean.
