Description

Erythro-36 is a clear infusion of erythromycin, one of the most effective antibiotics for treating Gram-positive bacterial infections.

The natural oil vehicle of Erythro-36 rapidly releases erythromycin at high therapeutic levels for strong activity against Streptococcus agalactiae. This product offers a treatment for subclinical bovine mastitis due to Streptococcus agalactiae plus the distinct advantage of short milk-discard time.

Erythro-36 Indications

Erythro-36 is recommended for treating subclinical bovine mastitis due to Streptococcus agalactiae, a major cause of mammary infections. This product may be used in either lactating or dry cows. Tests have pointed out that Erythro-36 is generally effective in eliminating subclinical mastitis due to this organism.

Directions For Use

Full Insertion: Remove both the red cap and the white canula by pulling straight up. Gently insert the entire canula into the teat canal; cautiously infuse the product.

Partial Insertion: Remove the red cap only, by pulling straight up. Gently insert the tip of the canula into the teat canal; cautiously infuse the product.

Administration

Thoroughly milk out each infected quarter. Clean the udder and teats by washing carefully. Disinfect the teat orifice(s) with an alcohol swab provided in each box or other suitable disinfectant. Choose the desired insertion length (full or partial) and infuse the entire contents of one syringe into each infected quarter. Close the teat orifice with gentle pressure and massage the udder to distribute the medication. Empty syringes should be destroyed.

Dosage

Lactating Cows
