Multi-Species Electrolyte and Energy Supplement

DuraLyte Advanced may be used as a supplement to normal electrolyte and energy requirements to conserve hydration during times of stress that animals may experience when food or environment changes occur.

Active Ingredients

Each duo sachet contains:

SECTION 1

Sodium chloride, Glycine, Potassium phosphate monobasic, Citric acid, Potassium citrate

SECTION 2

Glucose

Directions For Use

IMPORTANT - Each 64 g pouch is divided into two panels.

To mix the DuraLyte Advanced solution: Add the contents of Section # 1 and Section # 2 of one pouch to 2 quarts (approximately 2 liters) of warm water. Stir until dissolved. Sections 1 & 2 must always be fed together keeping feeding utensils clean. Depending on size of animal the number of feeding portions per pouch will vary (see below).

Ready-to-mix electrolyte and energy supplement formulated for the use in calves, pigs, dogs, cats, lambs, and foals.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS IN CALVES AND PIGS:

Reconstitution / Dilution Directions:

Sections 1 & 2 must be mixed together. Add the entire packet contents of both Sections 1 & 2 with 2 quarts (approximately 2 L) of warm water. Stir mixture until dissolved.

Keep all feeding utensils clean. The reconstituted solution may be offered in a bucket, or via a feeding bottle or syringe in younger animals.

Do not mix DuraLyte Advanced into milk or milk replacer.

Dispose of any unused solution after 24 hours. Always store the dry components in a sealed container in a dry and cool environment. Avoid overfeeding.

Fresh drinking water should be available at all times. Consult your veterinarian if the animal is sick.

CALVES

As an electrolyte and energy supplement for brought in calves

Feed 2 quarts of the reconstituted DuraLyte Advanced upon arrival and as directed instead of milk or milk replacer. The next scheduled feeding should include 1 quart of the DuraLyte Advanced in conjunction with the milk or milk replacer feeding, but do not mix the DuraLyte Advanced directly with the milk or milk replacer, provide these two solutions to the animal separately. All subsequent feedings should return to their normal diet.

Ongoing oral electrolyte and energy supplementation to calves, if required

Feed 1 to 1.5 quarts / 22 lb (approximately 1.5 L / 10kg) of body weight daily divided into two or more daily feedings. As the animal grows supplementation may be increased to 2 quarts per feeding fed at that rate in the morning and again in the evening.

To maintain adequate energy levels and nutrient intake, milk or milk replacer feeding should continue as normal.

DuraLyte Advanced solution should be given between these milk or milk replacer feedings. Replace unused solution with fresh DuraLyte Advanced solution every 24 hours.

PIGS

Use as an electrolyte and energy supplement for:

Suckling Piglets:

Suckling piglets should have fresh solution mixed as directed and made available in a suitable and clean vessel to the entire litter. As a consumption guide, a litter of 1-week old piglets will consume approximately 2 to 3 quarts (approximately 2 to 3 L) per day.

Weaned Pigs:
