Directions For Use
For use in cattle backrubbers for use on Beef Cattle and Dairy Cattle (lactating and non-lactating).
Horn Flies, Face Flies, Black Flies, Stable Flies, Mosquitoes and lice.
40 mL per litre of mixture (1 litre per 25 L of mixture).
Mix recommended dosage in diesel fuel or No. 2 heating oil. Do not mix with used motor oil. Add mixture to oiler reservoir. Refill reservoir as required. Check backrubber periodically to ensure mixture is being applied uniformly.
PrecautionsKEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Hazardous if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash exposed skin areas thoroughly with soap and water after working with Malathion. Remove contaminated clothing. Clean contaminated clothing before re-use. Do not contaminate feed or foodstuffs. Avoid contaminating any body of water. Containers should be kept tightly sealed when not in use. Do not store product near food, feed, fertilizers, seed and like commodities. Store in original container. Do not apply to animals within one month of slaughter. Do not use in backrubbers that allow excessive amounts of oil on the applicator surface. Highly toxic to fish and bees.
This product contains a petroleum distillate which is moderately to highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Avoid contamination of aquatic systems during application. Do not contaminate these systems through direct application, disposal of waste or cleaning equipment.
Malathion is a cholinesterase inhibitor. Atropine is antidotal.
If on skin, wash off with soap and water. If in eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes and get medical attention or contact a poison control center IMMEDIATELY. Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.
DANGER: IF SWALLOWED DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
This product contains petroleum distillates. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention or contact a poison control centre IMMEDIATELY.
1. Triple-rinse the emptied container and add the rinsings to the reservoir of the backrubber.
2. Follow provincial instructions for any required additional cleaning of the container prior to its disposal.
3. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use.
4. Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements.
5. For information on disposal of unused, unwanted product, contact the manufacturer or the provincial regulatory agency. Contact the manufacturer and the provincial regulatory agency in case of a spill, and for clean-up of spills.
