In previously unvaccinated ewes, and all yearling ewes, two doses are recommended: the first dose should be administered immediately prior to breeding, and a second dose should be given at approximately 3-4 months gestation (when animals are tagged). In subsequent years, previously vaccinated animals should receive a booster dose at 3-4 months gestation.
Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter. As with any vaccine, anaphylactic or other adverse reactions may occasionally occur. In this event, immediate therapy with epinephrine or other antianaphylactic drugs should be instituted. Any adverse reactions following vaccination should be immediately reported to the manufacturer.
