Biocom-P Indications

Biocom®-P aids in preventing virus enteritis Types 1 and 2 Type C botulism and hemorrhagic pneumonia due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa Serotypes 5, 6, 7-8 (IATS) in healthy susceptible mink.

Contraindications

None.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE: Inject 1 ml under the loose skin of the armpit of mink at least 8 weeks old. For proper suspension, shake before and occasionally during use. Revaccinate all adults at the time of kit vaccination. Read the package leaflet before use.

Kits without maternal antibodies: vaccinate at the age of 8 weeks or later.

Kits with maternal antibodies: vaccinate at age 10-12 weeks.

Breeders: vaccinate approximately one (1) month before mating.

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions are uncommon. A small local irritation at the injection site may be seen in some mink. This irritation consists of a small subcutaneous enlargement that may be palpated at the injection site for up to 21 days post-vaccination. Possible anaphylactic reactions are treated with epinephrine. If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this package leaflet, please inform your veterinarian or contact United.

Maternal antibodies may interfere with vaccine response. If presence of maternal antibodies is expected, vaccination should be postponed until the animals is 10-12 weeks of age.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label or carton.

In case of accidental self-injection, medical advice should be sought immediately and the package leaflet or the label should be presented to the physician.

Interactions

There is no information on the safety and efficacy of combined use with other veterinary medicines. The decision to use the vaccine before or after other veterinary medicines must be made case-specifically.
