Bar-Guard-99 Indications

Uses: BAR-GUARD-99™ is recommended for the prevention of colibacillosis caused by K99 strains of Escherichia coli in neonatal calves and lambs. It is also effective when administered in the early stages of infection characterized by milk diarrhea but no dehydration or depression.

Directions For Use

Colostrum should be fed to the animal prior to administration of BAR-GUARD-99™ antibody product.

Dosage:

Calves: Using aseptic technique, administer 10 mL orally as soon as possible after birth. For optimal results BAR-GUARD-99™ should be administered within 12 hours after birth and preferably within 6 hours of birth. BAR-GUARD-99™ may also be administered within 8 hours of exposure, not to exceed 20 hours of age.

Lambs: Using aseptic technique, administer 2 mL orally as soon as possible after birth. BAR-GUARD-99™ should be administered within 12 hours after birth and preferably within 6 hours of birth.

The product is not effective against diarrhea caused by infectious agents other than K99 strains of E. coli.
