Banminth* II 20% Premix Indications
For the treatment of parasitic infections due to the adult stages of stomach worms (Haemonchus placei, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei) and intestinal worms (Cooperia spp., Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum radiatum) in cattle.
Dosage: 10 mg of morantel tartrate per kg of body weight. For Ostertagia infections, treatment should be repeated at 2 to 3 week intervals to remove those mature parasites that survived previous treatment in an immature stage.
Mixing Directions: Mix 50 kg of Banminth II 20% premix with 950 kg of feed to obtain a medicated feed with a morantel tartrate concentration of 1.0% (10 g/kg). This medicated feed is to be prepared in the form of pellets only.
Feeding Directions: The medicated feed is to be administered at the rate of 100 g/100 kg of body weight by thoroughly mixing it in one half of the daily regular ration. To obtain optimal results, fast animals overnight prior to treatment. Animals should be separated on the basis of size into different pens and provided with sufficient trough space to allow each one to obtain the full amount of required medication. When the medicated feed is all consumed, resume normal feeding. Water should be available to cattle during the fasting and treatment periods.
Banminth* II 20% Premix Indications
For the treatment of mature stomach worms (Hyostrongylus rubidus), and mature and immature large roundworms (Ascaris suum) and nodular worms (Oesophagostomum spp.) infections.
Dosage: 12.5 mg of morantel tartrate per kg of body weight. Pigs maintained under conditions of constant worm exposure may require retreatment within 2 to 3 weeks after the first treatment due to reinfection.
Mixing Directions: Mix 6.25 kg of Banminth II 20% premix with 993.75 kg of feed to obtain a medicated feed with a morantel tartrate concentration of 0.125% (1.25 g/kg). This medicated feed can be prepared in the form of meal or pellets.
Feeding Directions: The medicated feed is to be administered as the sole ration at the rate of 1 kg/100 kg of body weight. To obtain optimal results, fast animals overnight prior to treatment. Animals should be provided with sufficient trough space to allow each one to obtain the full amount of required medication. When the medicated feed is all consumed, resume normal feeding. Water should be available to swine during the fasting and treatment periods.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 30 days after the latest treatment with this drug.
A microscopic fecal examination should be performed by a veterinarian or diagnostic laboratory prior to deworming for a diagnosis as to the presence of gastrointestinal parasitism.
Banminth* II 20% Premix Caution
Consult a veterinarian before using this product in severely debilitated animals. Do not mix this product in feeds containing pellet-binding agents with the exception of Lignosol.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30° C. Keep from freezing. Keep bag closed when not in use.
