LIVE VIRUS

For use in animals only

Recommendations for use: This product manufactured from SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) eggs and is a combination live virus vaccine of chicken embryo origin for use as an aid in the prevention of Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis, Massachusetts and Connecticut types, in healthy chickens. Vaccinate chickens at 5 weeks of age or older in the drinking water. Consult with a veterinarian for recommendations on revaccination based on conditions existing in your area at any given time.

Drinking water administration: Remove the overseal and stopper from the vaccine vial and add clean non-sanitized water to it. Shake well and pour the vial contents into a container of non-sanitized water. Dilute the vaccine as outlined in the chart below. A dried skim milk powder should be used a vaccine stabilizer at the rate of 2.1 g per liter of drinking water. Add the skim milk powder to the water prior to reconstitution of the vaccine.

Remove medication or sanitizers from the drinking water 24 hours before and 24 hours after vaccination. Rinse waterers with clean non-sanitized water. Remove water from chicks at least 2 hours before vaccination. Provide adequate space so that at least 2/3 of the birds can drink at one time. Precautions

Store at 2° to 8°C (35° to 46°F).

Vaccinate only healthy birds.

If there are susceptible laying birds on the premises, there is the possibility that the virus might spread from the vaccinated to the susceptible birds and affect egg production.

A mild respiratory reaction can appear 3 to 7 days after vaccination.

The development of this reaction is influenced by the level of maternal immunity and/or previous infectious bronchitis vaccinations.

Symptoms usually subside within 10 days after vaccination.

Use entire contents when a vial is first opened.

Inactivate unused contents before disposal.

Do not mix with other products, except as specified on the label.

Keep permanent vaccination records, including vaccine serial number.

Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.

Care should be taken to avoid contaminating hands, eyes and clothing with the vaccine.

Contains gentamicin as a preservative.

Newcastle disease virus can cause an inflammation of the eyes and eyelids of humans; caution should be used not to allow the vaccine to come in contact with the eyes.

In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
