What is ADAPTIL^®?

Mother dogs communicate with their puppies through natural messages released in the air. These “comforting messages” are scientifically called Dog Appeasing Pheromones. These canine odourless messages are only perceived by dogs. Cats and people are not affected. These “comforting messages” provide a strong signal of security and comfort to dogs of all ages. ADAPTIL^® sends a copy of these “comforting messages” to help your dog feel calm and confident in stressful situations.

In some cases, additional medical treatment and/or environmental modifications may be required and advice should be sought from your veterinarian or a qualified animal behaviourist. ● About ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser

ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser requires a Refill and a Plug-In Device, each sold separately. The Refill contains the product to be diffused and the Plug-In is the diffuser device. Each Refill lasts up to 30 days. The Plug-In Device should be replaced every 6 months.

ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser works continuously to provide constant calming and comfort at home.

Use ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser to help your dog feel calm and comforted:

- when staying alone at home

- when facing fearful situations indoors

- during loud noises (fireworks, thunderstorms)

- when visitors come to your home

ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser is not recommended for cases of hyperactivity or aggression.

ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser should be plugged in the room where your dog spends most of its time.

ADAPTIL^® Calm Home Diffuser must be plugged in continuously. Use the peel off sticker on the ADAPTIL^® Calm Refill label to remind you when to replace the refill.

Each 48 mL vial lasts up to 30 days.

CONTENTS HARMFUL. Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

FIRST AID TREATMENT: Contains Distillates (petroleum), hydrotreated middle.

If swallowed, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately. If person is unconscious, obtain medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes. If on skin, rinse well with water.

● ADAPTIL^® Calm PLUG-IN DIFFUSER DEVICE (sold separately from ADAPTIL^® Calm Refill)

Use only in properly functioning 110-120 volt electrical outlets.

DO NOT PLUG: Below any electrical device, under furniture or under any object protruding from the wall, in a multi-socket/multi-plug adaptor or an extension cord.

REPLACE PLUG-IN DIFFUSER DEVICE EVERY 6 MONTHS.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read all the instructions before using the product. This product is not a toy. Intended for adult use only.

When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when a product is used near children. DO NOT put fingers, hands, metal or other foreign objects in the product. There are NO user serviceable parts on this device. DO NOT attempt to refill with other liquids or substances. If the diffuser unit blocks the “TEST” or “RESET” buttons of a GFCI receptacle, it is recommended that the unit be removed from the outlet monthly and the GFCI be tested before plugging the electric diffuser unit back into the outlet. The internal parts of this device will get very hot to encourage evaporation of the active ingredient. Do not touch these surfaces during use. To avoid damage, DO NOT place pheromone refill on finished wood surfaces or place any object above warmer. DO NOT PLUG: Below any electrical device. Under furniture or under any prominent object from the wall. In a multi-socket/multi-plug/extension cord. MINIMUM CLEAR DISTANCE above diffuser = 4 ft (1.20 m). DO NOT disassemble diffuser unit or modify the plug in any way. DO NOT plug in sideways or upside down. DO NOT immerse in water. Do not cover or place under furniture. This may impair or block diffusion of the product and leave residual marks.

Replace the diffuser plug-in device every 6 months. Use ONLY ADAPTIL^® Calm Refills.
