Dosage and Administration

To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently.

An animal consumes daily approximately 8-10% of its body weight of water.

Swine and sheep: Dissolve 450 g (1 pouch) of powder in 2700 L of drinking water for 5 to 10 days. For automatic proportioner: Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL of stock solution per 4 L of water (1 oz/gal. U.S.). Prepare the stock solution by dissolving 450 g (1 pouch) of powder in 20.25 L of water. This will medicate 2700 L of drinking water.

Cattle: Dissolve 450 g (1 pouch) of powder in 1350 L of drinking water for 5 to 10 days.

CAUTIONS: Do not administer to animals with impaired kidney function, with severe dehydration, or with a known sensitivity to sulfas. If the condition deteriorates or if no improvement is noted within 4 days, discontinue treatment and re-evaluate the diagnosis.
