this medicine.

Like all medicines, Veno’s Cough Syrup can have side
effects, but they are very rare.
Stop taking the medicine and seek immediate medical
help if you experience:
• Allergic reactions. These may include developing a rash,
swelling or difficulty breathing. See Section 2.

4. Possible side effects

• Do not give to children under 3 years
• Do not take more frequently than every
2 hours.
If your symptoms persist, see your doctor.

6. Further information

Children aged 3 to 12 years:
Give 5 ml (one 5 ml spoonful) every 2 to 3
hours as needed.

This bottle contains 100 ml.

Active Ingredient Each 5 ml dose contains Glucose Liquid 3.18 g
and Treacle 1.35 g.
Other ingredients Capsicum tincture, aniseed oil, xanthan gum,
camphor racemic, glacial acetic acid, sodium benzoate (E 211),
sodium metabisulphite (E 223), levomenthol, water and colour
caramel (E 150).

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the ‘EXP’ date shown on the pack.
Use within 6 months of opening.

5. How to store Veno’s Cough Syrup

Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Take 5 ml or 10 ml (one or two 5 ml spoonfuls)
every 2 to 3 hours as needed.

3. How to take Veno’s Cough Syrup

1. What Veno’s Cough Syrup does

Veno’s Cough Syrup is recommended for the relief of a dry
(unproductive) cough and will soothe a sore throat in
minor respiratory tract infections. The medicine contains
two active ingredients: Glucose Liquid and Treacle to help
relieve your symptoms.

2. Check before you take Veno’s Cough Syrup

Do not take Veno’s Cough Syrup:
• If you have ever had an allergic reaction to
glucose liquid, treacle or to any other
ingredients (listed in Section 6).

Sodium metabisulphite (E223) may rarely cause severe
allergic reactions and breathing difficulties.

Take special care with Veno’s Cough Syrup
• If you have diabetes mellitus. Each 5 ml dose
contains 3.18 g of glucose liquid.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Talk to your doctor before taking Veno’s Cough
Syrup if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
