Each hard capsule of Periagna contains the following
active herbal ingredient:
Agnus Castus Fruit 400mg (Vitex agnus castus L.).
There are no other ingredients in Periagna.

Please read this leaflet carefully before using Periagna.
It contains important information about this medicine.
Keep this leaflet.
You may want to read it again. If you need more information
or advice, please ask your doctor, pharmacist or
qualified healthcare practitioner.

The capsule shell is made from hypromellose. The capsules are
hard, clear, oblong and contain a dark brown powder.
Each pot of Periagna contains either 60 or 120 capsules.

1 What Periagna is and what it is used for
Periagna is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to help relieve
premenstrual symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, breast
tenderness, bloating and menstrual cramps, based on traditional use only.
2 Before you take Periagna
Do not take if you:
- are allergic to any of the ingredients (see section 6).
- are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- are under 18 years of age.
- If you have a history of, or are suffering from a current pituitary disorder.
Tell your doctor if you have an intolerance to any of the ingredients.
3 How to take Periagna
Dosage
Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not chew the capsules.
Adults:
For the temporary relief of symptoms associated with premenstrual
syndrome. Take 1 capsule 2 times a day, morning and night,
swallowed with water.
As the effects of this product may not occur immediately,
the capsules should be taken continuously for 3 months.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
This product is not suitable for children or adolescents
under 18 years of age.
If you take too much Periagna (overdose)
If you take more than the recommended dose, see a doctor, pharmacist
or qualified healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you.

If you forget to take Periagna
Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time;
it does not matter if you have missed a dose.
If you are unsure about anything relating to Periagna
If you have any questions, or are unsure about anything, please
ask your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.
If your symptoms persist, worsen or do not improve after 3 months
tell your doctor.
4 Side effects
Like all medicines this product may have side effects.

These include:
Nausea
Stomach disturbances
Headache
Diarrhoea
Allergic skin reactions
If these persist or become troublesome stop taking the product.
If you notice any other side effects after taking Periagna, please
inform your doctor or pharmacist.

5 How to store this product
Do not use the capsules after the expiry date.
The expiry date is printed on the pot label. The expiry date refers to the
last day of that month. Return any unused capsules to your pharmacist
who will dispose of them for you.
Store below 25ºC in the original package.
Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.
