Migraine Relief Tablets
Each tablet contains aspirin 500mg and cyclizine hydrochloride 25mg.
Also contains the following inactive ingredients: mannitol,
polyvinylpyrrolidone, malic acid, sodium dioctyl sulphosuccinate,
sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, dextrates, sodium carbonate,
saccharin sodium, lemon flavour.
Sodium content = 144mg per tablet.
May be harmful to people on a low sodium diet.
For the relief of migraine pain and alleviation of associated nausea and headache.
Migraine Relief Tablets dissolve in water to form a clear, lemon flavoured, slightly
Dose: Adults, the elderly and children over 16: Two tablets dissolved in a glass of
water at the first sign of a migraine attack. This may be repeated at four hour
intervals if required, but no more than eight tablets should be taken in any 24 hours.
Do not give to children aged under 16 years, unless on the advice of a doctor.
DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE
There is a possible association between aspirin and Reye’s Syndrome when given
to children. Reye’s Syndrome is a very rare disease which can be fatal. For this
reason aspirin should not be given to children aged under 16 years, unless on the
advice of a doctor.
These tablets may cause drowsiness, if affected do not drive or operate
machinery. Avoid alcoholic drink
Do not take if you are allergic to aspirin, any other NSAID’s or any of the
other ingredients have or ever had a stomach ulcer have or ever had gout or
blood clotting disorders.
Consult your doctor before taking if you are pregnant or breast-feeding you
suffer from asthma or you are taking any other medicines as aspirin may increase
the effect of the following: Heparin, warfarin or nicumalone which prevent blood
clots. Probenecid or sulphinpyrazone for gout, or any centrally acting sedatives.
You should also consult your doctor before taking this medicine if they have told
you that you have an intolerance to some sugars.
Consult your doctor immediately if too many tablets are taken. If symptoms
persist consult your doctor.
Possible side effects
These tablets may rarely cause a skin rash or other allergic reactions, irritation or
bleeding from the stomach, Hepatitis and difficulty breathing or asthma attack in
patients with a history of these. If you notice any side effects including any not
mentioned please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
KEEP OUT OF THE SIGHT AND REACH OF CHILDREN
Aspirin is an analgesic for the relief of mild to moderate pain and cyclizine is an
antihistamine and an anti-nauseant for the prevention or treatment of sickness.
