important information for you.
• Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet, or as your doctor, or
pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner has told you.
• Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again.

• You must contact a doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner if your symptoms worsen
or do not improve after 7 days.
• If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare

1. WHAT HRI COUGH, COLD AND CATARRH
USED FOR

RELIEF IS AND W HAT IT IS

This product contains the herb garlic, which is the active ingredient.
HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve
the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections including common cold, cough, catarrh,
blocked or runny nose, and sinus congestion based on traditional use only.
2. WHAT YOU NE ED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE HRI COUGH, COLD AND
CATARRH RELIEF
Do not take HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief:

If you are allergic to garlic or any of the other ingredients (see section 6)

If you are under the age of 12 years

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
While taking this medicine:

If you become short of breath, have green-yellow sputum or develop a fever you must
see your doctor.

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking any other medicines, including
those obtained without a prescription.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine.
Driving and using machines
There are no known effects on driving or using machines.
Important information about some of the ingredients
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please
contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. HOW TO TAKE HRI COUGH, COLD AND CATARRH RELIEF
For oral use only
Adults, elderly and children over 12 years
2 tablets twice a day in the morning and at night.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve afetr 7 days, consult a doctor or
qualified healthcare practitioner.
If you take more HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief than you should
If you take more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified
healthcare practitioner and take this leaflet with you
If you forget to take HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief
Continue to take your usual dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for the
mised dose. It does not matter if you have missed a dose, just take the next dose at the right time.
If you have any further questions on taking this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist
or qualified healthcare practitioner.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
No side effects have been reported.
However like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets
them.
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or qualified healthcare
practitioner.

HOW TO STORE HRI COUGH, COLD AND CATARRH RELIEF

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and labels. The expiry date
refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 25 °C. Store in the original packaging.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your
pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. This will help to protect the
environment.
6. CONTENTS OF THE PACK AND OTHER INFORMATION
What HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief contains
Each coated tablet contains 450 mg of garlic bulb (Allium sativum L.) bulb.
The other ingredients are:
• Tablet core: Maltodextrin, Microcrystalline cellulose, Silicon dioxide, Stearic acid,
Magnesium stearate, Croscarmellose sodium.

• Tablet coating: Sucrose, Calcium carbonate, Shellac, Talc, Powdered acacia, Titanium
dioxide (E171), Yellow beeswax, Carnauba wax powder.
What HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief looks like and contents of the pack
HRI Cough, Cold and Catarrh Relief are white biconvex circular coated tablets.
This product is available in 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 90, 100 pack sizes. Not all pack sizes may be
marketed.
