• 2.4 mg tincture of Calendula flowers (Calendula
officinalis L.) (1:10), equivalent to 0.24 mg
Calendula flowers. Extraction solvent:
Ethanol 33% v/v.
• 2.4 mg tincture of Witch hazel bark (Hamamelis
virginiana L.) (1:10), equivalent to 0.24 mg Witch
hazel bark. Extraction solvent: Ethanol 55% v/v.
• 1.8 mg tincture of Peony root (Paeonia
officinalis L.) (1:10), equivalent to 0.18 mg Peony
root. Extraction solvent: Ethanol 84% v/v.
Also contains: Purified water, White soft
paraffin, Cetostearyl alcohol & PEG-20 stearate,
Methyl parahydroxybenzoate E218, Honey, Propyl
parahydroxybenzoate E216.

1. What is this medicine used for
A traditional herbal medicinal product used to
relieve the itching and burning associated with
haemorrhoids, based on traditional use only.

2. Before using this medicine

Do not use this medicine if:
• you are allergic to any of the ingredients or to
plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family

Special warnings and precautions for use

• Apply only to the anal area. Keep away from
eyes and mucous membrane, such as the mouth
and nose. Do not swallow. If accidentally
swallowed, consult your doctor.
• If rectal bleeding occurs, consult your doctor.
• If your symptoms worsen or if you do not feel
any benefit from this medicine after two week
consult your doctor, pharmacist or qualified
healthcare practitioner.

3. How to use this medicine
Apply only to the anal area

Directions

Before first use check tube seal is not broken.
Pierce tube seal with point in top of cap before use.
Adults and the elderly: Wash hands before
and after use. Clean affected area with a hygienic
wipe or warm water. Dry the area gently and then
apply cream up to 3 times a day, as required.
A nozzle is included in this pack and when
attached to the tube will aid rectal application.
Wash the nozzle before and after each use.
Application is particularly recommended after a
bowel movement. Do not use this cream for more
than 2 weeks. Not for use in children under 18
years of age. Do not use more cream than the
label / leaflet tells you to.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side
effects, although not everyone gets them.

Some people experience itching, burning, redness,
dryness or other skin reaction (e.g. allergic contact
dermatitis), if you experience any of these,
discontinue use and consult your doctor,
pharmacist or qualified healthcare practitioner.

If you get any side effects including those not
listed in this leaflet, consult your doctor or
pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly
via the Yellow Card Scheme at:
www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard. By reporting side
effects, you can help provide more information on
the safety of this medicine.

5. How to store this medicine

• Keep this medicine out of reach and sight of
children.
• Do not use after expiry date on carton & tube.
• Do not store above 25ºC. Store in original
container.

This product contains 4 active ingredients
1 g cream contains:
• 2.4 mg tincture of Horse-chestnut seed (Aesculus
hippocastanum L.) (1:10), equivalent to 0.24 mg
Horse-chestnut seed. Extraction solvent:
Ethanol 85% v/v.
