Agnus castus fruit tincture
BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS
PRODUCT
Do not take this product if you are:
 allergic to any of the ingredients
(see ingredients section)
 under 18 years of age
 are pregnant or breastfeeding or
trying to become pregnant
 currently suffering from a pituitary
disorder
 are taking any medicines known to
interact with alcohol e.g.
metronidazole

Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor before taking this
product if you are taking a dopamine
agonist, dopamine receptor antagonist
or agonist type drug as there is a
theoretical risk that this product may
affect the way they work. Tell your
doctor or pharmacist about any other
medicines you are taking including
any bought without a prescription.
You should also know:
This product contains approximately
60% v/v ethanol (alcohol) Each 1.1
ml of oral liquid contains approx. 520
mg of alcohol equivalent to 13 ml of
beer or 5.5 ml of wine.
Harmful for those suffering from
alcoholism, epilepsy or liver disease.

Tell your doctor if:
 you have had a pituitary disorder
in the past. In cases of prolactin
secreting tumours of the pituitary
gland, the intake of Agnus castus
can mask symptoms of the tumour
 you have or have had an estrogen
sensitive cancer.

Driving and using machines
This product contains alcohol and
therefore may impair ability to drive
or operate machinery. If affected do
not drive or operate machinery.
This product is a dark brown liquid.
Available in 50ml and 100ml. Not all
pack sizes may be marketed.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicine, this product can
have side effects. Although not
everybody gets them. Side effects that
may be experienced include:
 Severe allergic type reactions with
face swelling, difficulty breathing
and difficulty swallowing. Stop
taking this product immediately if
you experience any of these side
effects.
 Allergic skin reactions such as
nettle rash or itching of the skin
Other side effects include
 Gastrointestinal disorders such as
nausea or feeling sick, abdominal
pain
 Dizziness
 Headache
 Acne
 Menstrual disorders
 Headache
If these persist for more than a few
days or become troublesome, stop
taking this product. The frequency of
these effects occurring is not known.

Reporting of side effects
If you get any side effects, talk to
your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This
includes any possible side effects not
listed in the package leaflet. You can
also report side effects directly via the
Yellow Card Scheme at
www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard.
By reporting side effects you can help
provide more information on the
safety of this medicine.
If you take too much of this
product (overdose). If you take
more than the recommended dose,
speak to a doctor, pharmacist or
qualified healthcare practitioner and
take this leaflet with you. Overdose
of this product may result in alcohol
intoxication and should be treated
accordingly.
If you forget to take this product.
Continue to take your usual next dose
at the usual time. Do not take a
double dose.

HOW TO TAKE THIS PRODUCT
For oral use only
Shake bottle before use
For women experiencing
premenstrual symptoms:
Take 40 drops (1.1ml), in a glass of
water, once a day in the morning.
As treatment effects may not be
apparent immediately, this product
may need to be taken up to 3 months
continuously.
Not for use in children or adolescents
under 18 years old.
Do not take more than the label
tells you to.
If symptoms worsen, or persist after a
continued use of the product over
three monthly cycles, a doctor or
qualified healthcare practitioner
should be consulted.

A traditional herbal medicinal
product used to relieve
premenstrual symptoms such
as irritability, mood swings,
breast tenderness, bloating
and menstrual cramps, based
on traditional use

INGREDIENTS:
Each 1 ml of oral liquid contains 1 ml
of tincture from Agnus castus fruit*
(Vitex agnus-castus L.) (1:5).
Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% v/v.
*Certified organically produced
herbal ingredient.
This product also contains ethanol and
purified water.
STORING THIS PRODUCT
Do not use after the expiry date
shown on the bottle. The expiry date
refers to the last day of that month.
Return any out of date medicine to a
pharmacist who will dispose of it for
you.
