Breast Pain

Bloody nipple discharge is a finding to report as soon as possible to your doctor. Bloody nipple discharge can be a sign of infection, or inflamed, irritated tissue, or it can be a sign of abnormal tissue growing within your breast.

Call your doctor's office today to arrange for an evaluation.

Your doctor can examine you and begin the process of finding out what's causing the bloody nipple discharge. A sample of the fluid can be sent for evaluation. Other tests such as a mammogram or breast biopsy are usually needed to identify if cancer is present.
