Radicava (edaravone) is used to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease, which affects nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain. As the disease progresses and motor neurons die the ability of the brain to control the body is lost, affecting a persons ability to speak, eat, move and breathe.
