Drug Interaction Report
2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- hydroxypropyl chitosan / terbinafine topical
- trospium / xanomeline
Interactions between your drugs
terbinafine xanomeline
Applies to: hydroxypropyl chitosan / terbinafine topical, trospium / xanomeline
Terbinafine may increase the blood levels of xanomeline in some patients. This may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as nausea, dyspepsia, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and gastrointestinal reflux disease. You may need more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or you experience increased side effects. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
trospium food
Applies to: trospium / xanomeline
Trospium should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal unless otherwise directed by your doctor. You may experience reduced absorption of trospium in the presence of food. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
