2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- leflunomide
- Predicort-50 (prednisolone)
Interactions between your drugs
prednisoLONE leflunomide
Applies to: Predicort-50 (prednisolone), leflunomide
Using leflunomide together with prednisoLONE may increase the risk of serious infections. Because leflunomide can stay in your blood for a prolonged period after the last dose, interactions with other drugs may occur for some time even after you have stopped taking it. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may already be aware of the risks, but has determined that this is the best course of treatment for you and has taken appropriate precautions and is monitoring you closely for any potential complications. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop signs and symptoms of infection such as fever, chills, diarrhea, sore throat, muscle aches, shortness of breath, blood in phlegm, weight loss, red or inflamed skin, body sores, and pain or burning during urination. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
leflunomide food
Applies to: leflunomide
Leflunomide can be taken with or without food. It is important to take leflunomide regularly to get the most benefit. Discuss with your doctor the use of alcohol while taking leflunomide. Alcohol and leflunomide can both be damaging to the liver.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
