Drug interactions between HydroDIURIL and Questran
Interactions between your drugs
Applies to: Questran (cholestyramine) and HydroDIURIL (hydrochlorothiazide)
Cholestyramine may interfere with the absorption of hydroCHLOROthiazide when these medications are taken at the same time. This may reduce the blood levels and effects of hydroCHLOROthiazide. To prevent or minimize the interaction, hydroCHLOROthiazide should be taken at least 1 to 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after the cholestyramine dose. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or your symptoms worsen during treatment with these medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
