RHo (D) immune globulin influenza virus vaccine, live

Applies to: Gamulin Rh (rho (d) immune globulin) and FluMist Quadrivalent (influenza virus vaccine, live)

RHo (D) immune globulin may interfere with the immune response to influenza virus vaccine, live. A person who has been treated with RHo (D) immune globulin should generally not be vaccinated for several months with a live vaccine. If vaccination was given shortly before or after RHo (D) immune globulin, a revaccination may be necessary. The immunizing doctor should be informed of recent therapy with RHo (D) immune globulin so that appropriate measures and/or precautions can be taken. It is important to tell the doctor about all other medications being used, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to the doctor.
