This may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as nausea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness (e.G., episodes of suddenly falling asleep), lightheadedness, blood pressure decreases, and impulse control problems or compulsive behaviors (e.G., gambling or sexual urges; uncontrolled spending). Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. With improvement of your hepatitis C infection (HCV) during treatment with ombitasvir, your dosage requirement of bromocriptine or any other diabetic medications you are receiving may change. You may need more frequent monitoring of your blood sugar and adjustment of your diabetic regimen both during and after treatment with ombitasvir. Let your doctor know if you experience hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. Symptoms of hypoglycemia include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nervousness, confusion, tremor, nausea, hunger, weakness, perspiration, palpitation, and rapid heartbeat. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
