Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on cladribine, you may be at risk for developing an infection from BCG or have a reduced response to BCG. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay treatment with BCG to give your body time to recover from the effects of cladribine therapy. Additionally, since the bacteria in BCG may persist in the urinary tract for months after treatment, you may still be at increased risk for infection even if you receive cladribine after you have stopped treatment with BCG for some time. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
