venous angle

 

Definition:

  1. angle formed by the junction of the internal jugular vein and the subclavian vein at either side of the neck;
  2. in neuroradiology, the angle of union of the superior thalamostriate vein (vena terminalis) with the internal cerebral vein, usually closely behind the interventricular foramen (of Monro).

Synonym(s): Pirogoff angle
