van Buchem syndrome

Pronunciation: vahn bu'kem

Definition: an osteosclerosing skeletal dysplasia, characterized by mandibular enlargement, thickening of the diaphyses and calvaria, and increased serum alkaline phosphatase; autosomal recessive inheritance.
