Definition: the thin fascial layer interposed between the transversalis fascia and the umbilicovesical fascia It extends between the medial umbilical ligaments from the umbilicus inferiorly to the urinary bladder, becoming continuous with the visceral fascia of that organ, forming the posterior boundary of the retropubic space.
