transverse ridges of sacrum

 

Definition: one of four ridges that cross the pelvic surface of the sacrum; these mark the positions of the intervertebral discs between the bodies of the five sacral vertebrae in the immature bone.

Synonym(s): lineae transversae ossis sacriTA
