Definition: chronic inflammation at the origin of the extensor muscles of the forearm from the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, as a result of unusual or repetitive strain (not necessarily from playing tennis).

Synonym(s): epicondylalgia externa, lateral humeral epicondylitis
