tendon sheath syndrome

 

Definition: limited elevation of the eye in adduction, appearing clinically as a paresis of the inferior oblique muscle, due to fascia contracting the superior oblique muscle on the same side.

Synonym(s): Brown syndrome, Paterson-Brown-Kelly syndrome
