supravesical fossa

 

Definition: the depression on the peritoneal surface of the anterior abdominal wall above the bladder and between the median and medial umbilical folds. Its level, relative to the pubis, changes with filling of the bladder.

Synonym(s): fossa supravesicalisTA, fovea supravesicalis
