supravalvar aortic stenosis syndrome


Definition: supravalvar aortic stenosis (usually membranous) sometimes associated with pulmonary valvar or peripheral arterial stenosis but with normal facies and mentality; autosomal dominant inheritance, caused by mutation in the elastin gene (ELN) on chromosome 7q.
