Pronunciation: stron'ji-lo'sis

Definition: Disease caused by infestation with a species of the nematode Strongylus; effects may be extreme ranging from worm-associated inflammatory lesions, nodules, and blood vessel blockage resulting in colic (verminous arteritis colic) in horses.
