seborrheic keratosis

 

Definition: superficial, benign, verrucous, often pigmented, greasy lesions consisting of proliferating epidermal cells, resembling basal cells, enclosing horn cysts; they usually occur after the third decade.

Synonym(s): basal cell papilloma, seborrheic verruca
