sacral nerves [S1–S5]


Definition: five nerves issuing from the sacral foramina on either side; the ventral branches of the first three enter into the formation of the sacral plexus, and the last two into the coccygeal plexus.

Synonym(s): nervi sacrales [S1–S5]
