Riedel lobe

Pronunciation: re'del

Definition: an occasional tonguelike process extending downward from the right lobe of the liver lateral to the gallbladder; a similar process may, though rarely, extend from the left lobe.

Synonym(s): lobus appendicularis, lobus linguiformis
