retinoic acid syndrome
Definition: complex of symptoms in patients taking all-trans retinoic acid for acute promyelocytic leukemia; comprises fever, dyspnea, weight gain, pulmonary infiltrates, pleural or pericardial effusions, episodic hypotension, renal dysfunction, and leukocytosis.
