Radford nomogram

Pronunciation: rad'ford

Definition: a nomogram used to predict necessary tidal volume for artificial respiration on the basis of respiratory rate, body weight, and gender; correction factors are supplied for activity, fever, altitude, metabolic acidosis, and alterations in dead space.
