pulmonary surfaces of heart

 

Definition: the right and left lateral surfaces of the heart, directed toward the lungs; on the left it is principally the left ventricular wall; on the right it is the right atrial wall and the upper part of the right ventricular wall.

Synonym(s): facies pulmonales dextra/sinistra cordis
