pubovaginalis (muscle)

 

Definition: in the female, the most medial fibers of the pubococcygeus muscle (levator ani) that extend from the pubis into the lateral walls of the vagina.

Synonym(s): musculus pubovaginalisTA, pubovaginal muscle
