psychophysiologic manifestation

 

Definition: a manifestation characterized by the visceral expression of affect, the symptoms due to a chronic and exaggerated state of the physiologic expression of emotion with the feeling repressed; such manifestations are commonly characteristic of psychosomatic disorders.
