Definition: A clinical syndrome, occurring mostly in older men, usually caused by enlargement of the prostate gland and manifested by irritative symptoms (nocturia, frequency, sensory urgency, and urgent incontinence) and obstructive (hesitancy, decreased stream, terminal dribbling, double voiding, and urinary retention).
