primitive neuroectodermal tumor
Definition: a designation used to refer to a group of morphologically similar embryonal neoplasms that arise in intracranial and peripheral sites of the nervous system and that may show various degrees of cellular differentiation; includes medulloblastoma, pineoblastoma, among others.
