primary antiphospholipid syndrome


Definition: a thrombophilic state characterized by recurrent arterial and venous thrombosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and the presence of circulating antiphospholipid antibodies (anticardiolipin and anti-ß2-glycoprotein I antibodies).
