posttraumatic neck syndrome


Definition: a syndrome of neck pain, tenderness, and spasm, often associated with ill-defined symptoms (dizziness, blurred vision), resulting from neck trauma, most often of the whiplash variety.

Synonym(s): cervical fibrositis, cervical tension syndrome
